The Ruff House Stay & Play at Bayside (formerly Bayside Kennels) is the first of two Ruff House locations in the Hampton Roads area. Offering the same exceptional level of service and care, The Ruff House offers clients in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and the greater Hampton Roads area convenient and professional pet care service. From interactive group play, including daycare, to one-on-one, customized playtime with our staff, dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and play styles will find The Ruff House a perfect home away from home. For non-canine pet owners, we also offer overnight care for cats and small domestic mammals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, and ferrets.

As such, we put a great amount of effort into the continual training and education of our staff members. All staff members are trained in dog and cat CPR and emergency first-aid in addition to animal behavior and proper handling techniques. We are nothing like the "neighbor across the street" who occasionally watches your dog. Instead, we're the professional handlers who can identify the first signs of distress in your pet or safely handle pups who may not care for other dogs.
